Rail Assistance

Amtrak & Euro Rail Booking, Changes, Cancellations & Upgrades

We help you plan and book rail journeys in the U.S. and Europe, including passes and point-to-point tickets, and manage them afterward. The rail operator provides your journey.

Rail across the U.S. and Europe, planned with you

Rail booking has its own quirks — seat reservations, rail passes, class of service, and operator-specific change rules that differ between Amtrak and Europe’s many carriers. We help you navigate them and book the right ticket or pass for your route.

We are an independent assistance service. We do not own or operate any railway. Your journey is provided by the rail operator (such as Amtrak, or a European carrier) under that operator’s conditions; we help you arrange and service the booking.

Our assistance fee is separate from the fare and always confirmed before payment. You approve the full total — ticket or pass price plus our fee — before anything is charged.

Amtrak Bookings

Northeast Corridor, long-distance, and regional routes. We help with coach, Business, and Acela First class, plus seat and roomette options on overnight trains.

Euro Rail Tickets & Passes

Point-to-point tickets and multi-country rail passes across Europe. We explain where seat reservations are required and help you plan connections.

Date & Route Changes

Rail change rules vary by fare and operator. We check what your ticket allows, confirm any fee or fare difference, and apply changes only with your approval.

Cancellations & Refunds

We submit cancellations per the operator’s policy and pursue any refund or credit your fare permits. Flexible and saver fares are flagged before you book.

Class Upgrades

Move from coach to Business or First, or add a sleeper on overnight routes, where the operator has availability.

Multi-leg Itineraries

Complex trips with several trains and connections — we help sequence them and explain where reservations or pass supplements apply.

Changes

Modifying an existing booking

To change a rail booking, call us with your booking details. We’ll check the operator’s rules for your fare or pass, confirm any change fee or fare difference, and proceed only with your approval. Saver and advance fares may be non-changeable, which we’ll tell you before you decide.

Cancellations

Cancelling and requesting a refund

Refund eligibility on rail tickets depends on the fare type and operator. Flexible fares are often refundable up to departure; advance or saver fares may not be. We explain your position, submit the cancellation, and pursue any eligible refund. Our assistance fees are separate, per our Refund Policy.

Upgrades

Upgrading your experience

Where the operator offers a higher class — Business, First, Acela First, or a sleeping accommodation — we check availability and cost so you can upgrade. Availability is controlled by the operator; we arrange it on your approval.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

No. We are an independent assistance service and are not affiliated with Amtrak or any European rail operator. Those operators run the trains under their own conditions. We help you book and manage tickets and passes.
Rail booking assistance starts at $20 per booking and rail-pass assistance at $30 per pass; changes and cancellations start at $25. This is separate from the fare and confirmed before payment.
On many high-speed and long-distance European trains, yes — a pass alone isn’t enough and a paid reservation is required. We’ll tell you which legs of your trip need one and help arrange them.
That depends on the operator and fare. Many fares treat a missed train as forfeited, while flexible fares may allow a later train. We explain the rules for your specific ticket.
